 গ্রামের বেশির ভাগ লোক গরিব। সেজন্য পুরুষ ও মেয়েদের প্রায় সকলেই সারাদিন কাজ করে।পুরুষের মধ্যে অনেকে মাঠে চাষের কাজ করে এবং মেয়েরা ঘরের কাজ করে। কতক লোক অন্যের বাড়িতে কাজ করে। চাষিরা সকালবেলা গোরু, মহিষ, লাঙল প্রভৃতি লইয়া মাঠে যায়, এবং সমস্তদিন তথায় কাজ করিয়া সন্ধ্যাবেলা বাড়ি ফিরিয়া আসে। অনেক সময় তাহাদের ভাত, ডাল ইত্যাদি মাঠে লইয়া যাইতে হয়, কারণ তাহারা দুপুরবেলা বাড়িতে আসার মতো সময় পায় না। গ্রামের কিছু লোক শহরে চাকুরিও বা ব্যাবসা করে। এরূপ চাকুরিয়া ও ব্যবসায়ীদের কেহ কেহ রাত্রিতে বাড়িতে ফিরে।
