 এক মশক কোনো এক বৃষের মস্তকের উপর কিছুক্ষণ উড়িয়া পরিশেষে তাহার শৃঙ্গের উপরিভাগে উপবিষ্ট হইল এবং মনে মনে চিন্তা করিল হয়তো তাহার ভরে ক্লেশ বোধ করিতেছে । এইরূপ ভাবিয়া সে কৃষকে বলিল, "ভাই হে আমার ভার যদি তোমার ক্লেশকর হইয়া থাকে, বল, আমি এখনই উড়িয়া যাইতেছি। আমি তোমায় ক্লেশ দিতে চাই না।" ইহা শুনিয়া বৃষ বলিল, "তুমি সেজন্য উদ্বিগ্ন হইয়ো নাই। তমি থাক বা যাও আমার পক্ষে দুইই সমান। তুমি এত ক্ষুদ্র যে তুমি আমার শৃঙ্গে বসিয়াছ ইহা এ পর্যন্ত আমার অনুভব হয় নাই।

English:

A mosquito, after flying for some time over the head of a bull, finally settled on the upper part of its horn and wondered whether its weight was causing the bull discomfort.
