একদা রাত্রিতে মহম্মদ মহসিন ঘুমাইতেছিলেন, এমন সময় তাঁহার ঘরে চোর আসিল। মহসিনের ঘুম ভাঙিয়া গেল। তিনি বিছানা হইতে উঠিয়া চোরকে ধরিয়া ফেলিলেন। চোর মহাবিপদে পড়িয়া কাঁদিতে লাগিল। পলাইবার চেষ্টা করিল না। মহসিন বুঝিলেন, লোকটি পাকা চোর নয়। তিনি তাহাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করিলেন, "তুমি কেন এই পাপের কাজ করিতে আসিলে? যে চুরি করে, লোকে তাহাকে ঘৃণা ও অপমান করে, তুমি কি ইহা জান না?

English:
