 ১) একদা এক বালক বিদ্যালয় হইতে অন্য এক বালকের একখানি পুস্তক চুরি করিয়া আনিয়াছিল।

Once a boy stole a book from another boy at school.


২) অতি শৈশবে তাহার মাতাপিতার মৃত্যু হয়।

He lost his parents at a very early age.


৩) তাহার মাসি তাহাকে পালন করিয়াছিলেন।

His aunt brought him up.


৪) তিনি তাহার হতে ঐ পুস্তকখানি দেখিয়া জিজ্ঞাসা করিলেন, "সুবন, এই পুস্তক তুমি কোথায় পাইলে?”

Seeing the book with him, she asked, “Suban, where did you get this book?”


৫) সে বলিল, "বিদ্যালয়ের এক বালকের পুস্তক।”

He replied, “It is a book of a boy from my school.”


৬) মাসি বুঝিতে পারিলেন ভুবন ঐ পুস্তকখানি চুরি করিয়াছে।

The aunt understood that Bhuban had stolen the book.


৭) কিন্তু তিনি পুস্তক ফিরাইয়া দিতে বলিলেন না এবং ভুবনকে চুরি করিতে নিষেধ করিলেন না।

But she did not ask him to retur

n the book, nor did she forbid him to steal.

English:

Bengali:

কিন্তু তিনি পুস্তক ফিরাইয়া দিতে বলিলেন না এবং ভুবনকে চুরি করিতে নিষেধ করিলেন না।

English:

But she neither asked him to return the book nor forbade Bhuban to steal.

Better alternatives:

asked → instructed / told

return → give back / restore

forbade → prohibited / restrained
